Are these receivers able to be re welded just using them or will you need to get over lap sections to make up for the cuts. Thanks for the input

Questions: 2: If your SA34 welding-jig would fit into the kitchen oven.......Would "pre-heating" the DEMILed receiver to about 400 degrees (once it is set up in a jig) help in keeping the warpage and growing under control if you kept the temp. of the parts between 300-400 degrees? P. Stout, waht do you use to grind down the welds between the trunion dimple and the first site brackets. I use dremmel stones but the done do such a great job..your looks great any ideas Also do you use the string as a sight level or do you actually put it down on the receiver to hel with it level ...

another thing to consider when building your park tank is to have a lip about an inch wide folded over from the top edge of the tank, does a great job of catching heat that rolls around the sides of the tank and would normaly go straght up and be lost, not mine or a new idea, po ackley mentions it ...

I have a blast cabinet.. that is what I did wrong :bang: i blasted it long before I was done now there are patches of surface rust all up and down the rails and inside the receiver that I can't get out with the blast gun nor Naval jelly. That is why I was asking about the acid dip. I just don't know...
