Re: Binary trigger??

If you mount your mg42/m53 on a mg3 lafette, all you do is bump the handle and it will eat up your belt of ammo real quick. Not as fast as the real thing but fast.

Re: MG34 Lafette Restoration **** Pics restored started 2017

Well I wish that I could replace all of the missing photos. But I can't at this time. What I can do is state that I live in Fla. and my wife and I drove to Red Wing, Minn for one of DA's machine gun shoots where I got to see TC's great MG34 and this Lafette and only took a few pics, still wish I had...

redblur
Search and you might find a number of threads where Glen has stepped in and got an MG42 working again.
Right now he is "playing" with a few tanks in Texas.

2 Different riveted pads info request

I'm posting pics of the backs of 2 different lafette pads. Both pads should be early, pre spot welding.
Of course the pad without the strong backing has folded. In reviewing the front etc. I believe that they are from war time and German.

Thoughts???

Re: MG34 Lafette Leather pads

My wife and I are talking about making a set of leather pads for some of my lafettes and we will see how it goes. We also talked about doing them for other folks, we will need to see how that works out.
There is/was at least one thread on this site on how to rebuild your leather pads.

Re: Swiss made tripod?

Interesting. Well the Swiss did not make it... "Swiss" was code name for "Siemens Elektrowärmer G.m.b.H., Werk Sörnewitz" see http://www.bergflak.com/lafette/evo34.html there are other code sources out there that should say the same thing. After that statement, that company only ...

Re: Make my own headspace gage?

Another dumb question
Is this for Full Auto or Semi Auto. I believe that also makes a minor difference. In Full Auto don't play games.

That said there are folks out there that make their own go, no-go, field gauges. Are you that good?? I buy mine, not worth the opp's factor.
