Re: MG 08/15 - Need Advice
I scan the photos at 600 dpi, and use Photoshop to enhance them, and I print the manuals at 1200 dpi. Every photo is the best it can be, but some of them were really crap to start with, and I can only do so much. Often the pictures in the translation are better than they were in the originals. My w...

Re: heart attack
I just passed another kidney stone, my third one. Not as dangerous as a heart attack, but painful. It truly does suck. The rock is in a plastic baggy on the desk in front of me. The thing has a nasty sharp hook on one side. How it managed to work its way out is beyond me. I'm saving it as a souvenir.

Re: MG 08/15 - Need Advice
Well the manual had unexpectedly clear photos for a copy. I can actually see what the photos are demonstrating. It also fills in a few informational holes that The Devil's Paintbrush doesn't show. Great manual!

I know you do John! That may come later. For the moment, what I really need at the moment is The Devil's Paintbrush by Collector Guide Publications, hopefully a used copy to keep the cost down.

MG 08/15 - Need Advice
Hi old friends! I am in the process of purchasing an MG 08/15 from a local gentleman here in MN. It comes with 1943 canvas Lewis belts which I'm told work okay with it. My question is, which parts would you check for wear that would make the gun run less reliably? Is it possible to see wear and dete...

Re: Problem using Lafette ...HELP!
I am amazed the lafette trolley even moves and all. The lafette should be totally disassembled, cleaned of all gelled cosmoline and residue, properly oiled, and reassembled. You should be able to move the trolley smoothly with only the springs offering resistance. A lafette packed with cosmoline is ...

Re: How to reach Bergflak??
I just saw Bergflak in person at the Militaria Show of Shows in Louisville Kentucky last weekend. I bought a spare MP-40 firing pin and barrel nut crush washer from him. Perhaps he is still travelling. I have no idea how to contact him outside of using his contact info on his website. He did mention...

Re: New Range Toy!
Took this shotgun out for a spin at our annual Red Wing Machinegun Shoot this June. Flowless performance. Recoil was lighter than expected, lighter than Dave's Saiga 12. Blasting things with slugs at 100 yards almost made me forget this was a smoothbore shotgun and not a rifle.

Re: What happened to DARIVS ARCHITECTVS ?
The ship was based on a kit, but some many changes were made, it only partially resembles the kit. The ship had added details including internal lighting, changes to the types of wood used (more walnut), full rigging with sails made from scratch. The ship build took 2 years and 8 months and costs we...
