Re: how hot?

Each MG ha...

Re: MG34 OR MG42 FOR DURABILITY?
We all know each gun of both types & models have their own personality with individual cycle quirks!...as the point john was making. ...I had the sa (TNW) mg-34 for almost 7 yrs, and just getting it to fire blanks half-way reliable was a task. When firing live, all things had to be carefully conside...

Amazing, thankyou Siegfried.......... ..My father was in the Army Air Corps for a year, then in late 43, the Army needed more ground divisions, so he found himself at Camp Pickett, Va for training in the 78th Inf Division. His mother, (my grandmother) was a german immigrant, and hated that her son w...

Hello Sgt. Schultz.....! Hell, it's hard to tell with that one photo, if paint was used, or if it is nothing more than smeared mud or clay. ..... Strict regulations in the german army, some enforced more than others were enforced right up to the bitter end. Manybe this particular FJ unit, the comman...

Could be, but then again both helmets & gun may have dried mud/clay applied......I just can't imagine the FJs being allowed to paint their machine guns.

Re: in the trenches italy 1944
Greg; I remember those. In my opinion, these new 308 blanks are even more dirtier, and leave a lot of unburned powder particles, but are quite loud with a good flame..... .... BTW, DA and my dealer got atf approval, finally, for the 42 transfer, took 9.1/2 weeks.......that was wait number one;..now ...
