Booster Soaking Can
Hey all. I am trying to locate an MG42 cleaning accessory - the Booster Soaking Can. Anybody have one they'd be will to let go? Or have a line on one somewhere? I am also looking for a MG42 AA Spider Sight. This doesn't have to be original - a good repro would be fine as long as it will fit the moun...

Re: Good paint stripper..
I just finished doing the same thing - fixing up a Yugo-painted German MG42 stock. Yeah - the paint stripper you can find at HD or LOWE'S will work perfectly. These stocks were treated with cosmoline before they were painted black. Yep, they painted right over the cosmoline. So, the stripper will re...

Re: Barrel prices
Wow - yes, excellent information. Thanks for adding to this discussion. The commercial vs mil. spec issue is certainly a very important aspect to consider. Do you know of an American manufacturer that is capable of manufacturing hammer forged, chrome lined barrels? Wouldn't that be a step in the rig...

Re: Barrel prices
42Rock, do you know where the new barrels were coming from (who was making them?)? If the current $110 barrels are what they used to sell for $50 ... well, that's kinda f'd up. I'd rather spend the money on a legit brand new barrel...I couldn't care less when/where it was made, ya know? I'd also be ...

Re: SCHLAGBOLZEN SPANNER TOOL
How big are they? A photo showing one next to a ruler or a common object - like a BIC lighter or a playing card - might help a bit. Looks like one of those 'neat-o' things to have run across.... Hey, what are those? I dunno. I found 'em. They are some kind of Nat-zee tools. See the marks stamped in ...

Re: Barrel prices
About the prices ... fwiw ... about one year ago I bought 4 8mm Yugo barrels from APEX. Back then they were offering two different grades. One grade was $50 each, the other was $100 each. I bought two of each grade. There was a CLEAR difference between the four barrels. The more expensive barrels we...

... the charcoalmod works great. Looks good.
It's a little odd to see all of our names on the right instead of the left, but we'll get used to that. No biggie really.

The charcoal option works.
Typing this message was tough though. The cursor was nearly ivisible and the font color was just a darker grey. How do we change the cursor and font color while typing a message?

Re: Probably Illegal MG-34 Receiver on Gunbroker
My English brother in law is amazed at the rights that Americans have when it comes to gun ownership here. See what socialism has done to their minds? The poor bastards are barely cognisant of the fact that they are living under the boot! "Rule, Britannia" ... "Britons never will be slaves" ... yea...

Re: Probably Illegal MG-34 Receiver on Gunbroker
I wonder where the heck he even found that??? Just the receiver? Who would have brought that home? "Look ma, I brought home this cool unrecognizable chunk of metal as a souvenier for ya!"" How weird is that??? I heard an interesting story once... A bunch of buddies decide to go see the tank museum ...

Anybody ever consider this approach? ...
Contact the seller & offer to buy the receiver if he uses a band saw to cut it into three pieces?
That'd work, right?
