I'm guessing that everyone thinks that TIG is the way to go and LOTS of practice before you even think about touching the receiver parts.

What thickness of copper backer is normally used?? Where can one normally find copper backer also??

Michael Forgot to add this, try to save the parts of the recuperator that you will be removing from your receiver as I have read many posts about during the rebuild of the recuperator it sprang apart and now I'm missing ??? At any rate I was able to save a few springs and several of the small "yokes...
