I was reviewing some stickies and was wondering if anyone would want to follow up on this. It would be nice to tabulate findings on the use of different booster sizes, barrel bearings with different ammo etc...
Any thoughts?

I have never seen that on any flights I have taken. This should be the new standard for Flight Attendants.

Re: M53 Ammo Question
I have a full auto MG42 and have been using Romainian 8mm and Yugo 1979 8mm with no problems. I did run some 50's Yugo until I was advised about 60 year old ammo in an expensive investment. I also run Pakistan 7.62 with no problems. Good 8mm is becoming harder to find.

As usuall John is correct. Lafette translates to gun mount. Sometimes words have different meanings in translation. It would depend on the context. Lafette can also be translated to gun carriage.

"A Rifleman Went to War" is a great book that was, not sure if still is, a required reading for would-be snipers attending the U.S. Marine Corps Sniper School.
