Re: Are current IMA receivers usable?
Yes they are readily reweldable if you get what's pictured, which you should, I've never had a problem in regards to that with IMA. You will need filler pieces as already stated, but those are easy enough to find/make, some folks also build up the sides and join the weld together depending upon the ...

Re: Is the lafette mount worth getting?
I bought my Lafette for 800$ in 2005, wish I would have bought 10 of them, bought kits when they were 400$, and I thought I was getting into the game "late." Wish I would have bought a dozen of those for that price, should have bought the MP44's when IMA was giving them away.....it's a cool accessor...

Re: MG34 Nightmare of issues's, easy fix?!?!
I agree with the checking the ejector pin, I have bolts that have slide easy and some that don't, and some of that is dependent upon the ejector pin sliding easily, but still working properly under the ejector plate. I'd also suggest taking a sharp pointed tool (awl, scribe, etc.) and run it through...

WTB: Berdan primed brass, 8mm, 30-06, 7.62x54R, 6.5 Swede, .
I'm going to take the plunge into reloading Berdan primed brass. If anyone has any 8mm brass that is Berdan primed (I'm also looking for 7.62x39, .303, 7.62x54, 30-06, 6.5 Swede) lying around that they don't have a use for I'd be interested. I'm also interested in picking up German Steel cases (alth...

Re: pic request... '34 vs 42 barrel carriers...
Time for one more, early carrier, MG34 barrels only, notice the rounded shape of the holders which are of bakelite. also the external shape on the ends is rounded, it doesn't carry the "humps" like the previous carrier I posted to accommodate the MG42 barrel. Chris....
