My turn to second M1 Tanker, I used the oven cleaner on a K98 stock with crappy results, it was rough on the wood, and discolored it......Chris....

Just wondering what the going rates are these days for the following? MG34 Lafette tripods? MG 34 single barrel carriers w/ slings? MG 34 double barrel carriers w/o slings? Thanks for the link Tommy, everybody is providing me w/ tons of info, so I should have some great resources here before too long being a newbie. Tom R- Alaska is hit and miss, if you go to the gun shows you can strike gold by talking to everyone and networking, but the tables are usually pretty weak...

So, I'm inundating the forums with tons of questions, but I've been buying MG34 stuff like a madman for the past week, my wife is going to KILL me!!!!!! Tom, do you know if the kits from Allegheny are decent or not? I have read the boards about their receivers on their old kits. Of course the kits they have now have no receiver included, but was wondering what the condition of all o fthe other parts were like....i.e. matching, lineouts, finish, etc....

Suppose I get a receiver welded up, but don't have any lucky or the technical ability (i.e. direct help) to get it going.....what would I need to do to build at least a BATF legal dummy gun out of it? Chris.

So, I'm sure as time goes on, and new receivers come out, the building fraternity will grow...but I'm just wondering how many of you have actually completed semi kits out of MG-34's and have them running smoothly? What works well for a fcg? THanks, Chris....
