Dummy gun prices?
Thinking of selling one of my MG34 dummy guns..I looked on Gunbroker and it blew my mind! (At least what there is left..) Crazy prices for them, all over the board, and the parts for the 34 and 42s are also crazy! Does anyone actually pay these prices??? On the other hand, there was a nice looking M...

Re: What are YOU doing during Winter?
I am going to be sitting around a lot and spending time on the couch! :O Not all winter of course! I am also going to finish a project started long ago-somehow my grandfather got a large box of WW I photos, I think they may be copies of the original government ones, with descriptions on the back of ...

Re: Current prices ??
Thanks! Last one I sold was about 4 years ago, went for $1500...I also sold all my NATO parts to the same guy. I have a bunch of 34 receiver parts, enough to make at least 2 I think. I had one welded up by a certain southern gentleman here, big mistake... ---bil

Re: Happy Birthday Bil !!!!! 10/15/2017
LOL-the front door! It kept the neighbors away! Last year in my new place there was some shooting going on down in the valley-I don't mind that at all, actually like it. They got going pretty good so I took the Tec 9 out and let it rip...they were quiet for a few minutes then started up again. I lik...

Thanks JBaum-I had a great time having dinner with you, seems like years ago because it was, I'll have to stop out again soon! 42Rocker, I saw the birthday thread, thanks guys! And I will dig out the jig! I am still missing a bunch of stuff lent out from when I was here more, the rail alignment tool...

Current prices ??
I haven't been around for a while-any idea of a realistic price for a nice 4-cut all German MG42 kit? And how about MG34 receiver pieces? Not just bits but enough to make an entire receiver...Thanks all! ---bil

Re: Happy Birthday Bil !!!!! 10/15/2017
Thanks for the birthday wishes! However, this year I didn't have one! Lucky me! On Friday the 13th I was helping a friend put on a new roof and decided I could fly! After many years of this kind of work I got overconfident...woke up on the 16th, having missed both my fathers and my own birthdays! Co...

Very nice! Now you need the adjustable rate FCG...I have an empty one I got from JBaum years ago, you sometimes find them reused in the 34 with the mechanism removed... ---bil

My stuff back....
Wanted-if the folks are still here-these are things I loaned out and would like back. It has been about 3 years, so I have lost contact with them. Maybe the folks aren't here anymore, however....MG42/53 rail alignment jig. This went to a fellow in Kentucky/Virginia, talked on the phone several times...

Re: weld up a receiver (w/no welding experience)
When you do get your kit, get some steel the same thickness and practice welding and finishing the welds on that, not just flat welds. It will make it a bit easier and you won't be mucking up a good receiver. Get good on the scrap steel first. And good luck! ---bil
