Re: MG3 front bushing
Post some pics well give suggestions.
I do know there is slight differences in the front shrould shape between M-53 & MG42s. I've never tried/needed to graft the two together near the front bushing.

Re: Pogo test fails in 308 but not 8mm
sorry didn't read the entire thread and realize it was FA with an uncut recoil spring. 8mm has more recoil energy available then .308 so what your saying makes sense. does the bolt move freely back and forth in the rails, the receiver is not pinched or binding it ? its sounding like you will need to...

Re: Pogo test fails in 308 but not 8mm
reread your description , you are extracting well just not ejecting the case from the bolt, right? that sounds more like the ejector plunger may be worn, or the bolts not getting all the way back to the buffer. If you collapse your bolt the ejector plunger will be sticking out inside the "cartridge ...

feels like a lazy one, i doubt anyone would really be that blatant and stupid. It doesn't matter 2nd post and he has already stated intent to break the law. He's gone.
We don't need any dramas with the current political attitude/witch hunt, right now we need to be very below the radar.

Re: Pogo test fails in 308 but not 8mm
Make sure your extractor isn't binding ( clean plunger & spring) if thats not the case change your extractor for a new one. Put 200-300 rds of 8mm through the gun to let the parts wear into each other before you go changing parts from standard. You are running her dripping wet with lube right? :chee...

Re: What would be the proper course of action
when I was gathering parts to build my SA 1919 i ordered a semi-auto 80% plate from a well known manufacturer. I opened the box the day it arrived, looking into the box the inside of the plate was face up..... with no islands. They sent me a flat full auto plate by mistake. Closed the box immediatel...

wiselite added an inch to their reciever to use a full recoil spring.
No buffer extention needed with original length guns.

a devastating loss . you don't go 51-0 in 5 star reviews without being exceptional. http://www.mg42.us/viewtopic.php?f=136&t=1978 Dan you are missed. Re: MG42 Problems
Nut looks to be installed in right direction. you should be able to put the plunger on a table top and push the recuperator down till the plunger sits flat. if you cant the recuperator might be assembled wrong. While its out bevel the plunger head slightly were it contacts the barrel extension to ma...

His IP address is from luxemberg so U.S. laws wouldn't apply to this conversion. Interesting problem that hasn't gotten much thought here because of legal road blocks. OK, brain storming time guys, what would be the simplest way would be to modify the trigger lever to be spring loaded in the "Up" po...

Re: mg3 front nose on 8mm kit
you don't need to modify the barrel bearing. they are the same for both calibers.
your thinking of the recoil nozzle, that has diferent sized holes to adjust recoil power to the barrel.
use the recoil nozzle and flashhider that came with the kit for 8mm.

Re: Problem on Wise lite arms m53 build (Feeding problem)
Do you have the extended buffer nose needed for the wiselite receiver?
If so it sounds like the spring/bolt extension combo is too long.

Re: Problem on Wise lite arms m53 build (Feeding problem)
sounds normal The bolt can not move rearward if a round is in the "feed" position. Normal procedure for the semiauto is retract the bolt then insert ammo. a single loose round might have the space to allow the bolt to retract. Your rounds probably aren't ejecting because your not pulling the cocking...

Re: Problem on Wise lite arms m53 build (Feeding problem)
Are you trying to pull the bolt back with a round on the feedtray?
Because that doesn't work you need the bolt held to the rear, then ammo on the feedtray.
You should start testing with single round sitting on the feedtray NO belt to start.
