42 is right, the easier the receiver is to reweld, the easier it is to get the receiver back in speck the better. By your discription your kit is a mismatch of German and post war Yugo parts. The more german parts the more it is worth. Without pictures it is really hard to determin a fair price but based on your discription I would place it in the 1000 to 1200 range, and that might be a tad high. I would expect...

You can still find some deals on the 42 Lafette because it was made on into the 60's, many many more around. The 34 Lafaette was not made post war so expect to pay close to 3K for a complete example. Onece in a while I see 34 Lafette top tables available. Maybe you can get one of them and change out...

There are some great looking repos and some not so great. Depende a lot on who made it and it's condition.

There is a lever in the trigger assembly that rises when you pull the trigger and it trips the sear that releases the bolt.........at lease that is the way it looks to me.

Stan called me , he just finished my MG34 receiver, and I asked him about your MG42 he said he will not do another MG42. He said it takes too long to get them tuned in to run right.

John it is my understanding the only issue with the MG15 drums on the MG34 is the catch. Ryan is making the MG34 catch.
