That is a shame. They could have come close to a complete gunners kit for that.

Re: Help value my german mg 42 parts kit
42 is right, the easier the receiver is to reweld, the easier it is to get the receiver back in speck the better. The best receivers used to be saw cut in a couple of places so there was very little loss of material and almost no distortion. Now they are coming cut with a torch so sometimes as much ...

Re: Help value my german mg 42 parts kit
By your discription your kit is a mismatch of German and post war Yugo parts. The more german parts the more it is worth. Without pictures it is really hard to determin a fair price but based on your discription I would place it in the 1000 to 1200 range, and that might be a tad high. I would expect...

Re: MG34 Lafette for sale
You can still find some deals on the 42 Lafette because it was made on into the 60's, many many more around. The 34 Lafaette was not made post war so expect to pay close to 3K for a complete example. Onece in a while I see 34 Lafette top tables available. Maybe you can get one of them and change out...

Re: MG34 trigger lever
There is a lever in the trigger assembly that rises when you pull the trigger and it trips the sear that releases the bolt.........at lease that is the way it looks to me.

Re: r eceiver
I bought a saw cut receiver on GB. The owner had it in this country and works for the US Military. He took it with him when he deployed so he could ship it out when it sold. It sold, I bought it, and he did ship it back through the Armed Forces Postal System. Or at lease he tried, it was intercepted...

Re: Progress Is Being Made
I agree. She is asking for the moon, and won't get it all. But she will get some of it, just how much is up to us and millions like us. Everytime some nutbag grabs a gun we all have to pay the bill. The MG42 in the pictures is still FA. Once he is sure it will run right he will start the conversion ...

Progress Is Being Made
I sent my MG42 to a a builder several months ago and have been worried that he might not have the time to finish it before Sen. Diane Finstine gets her bill passed. If that happens ALL weapons that have a detachabe mag of over 10 rounds will become an NFA weapon. Look at her websight for information...

Stan called me , he just finished my MG34 receiver, and I asked him about your MG42 he said he will not do another MG42. He said it takes too long to get them tuned in to run right.

Contact Stan at Project Guns in Florida. He sure can do it but it will be a while as he is really backed up. Google Project Guns and give him a call and see if he will take it on.

Re: trommel carrier
John it is my understanding the only issue with the MG15 drums on the MG34 is the catch. Ryan is making the MG34 catch. I have never tried one yet so the only info I have is what I have managed to Read. I have one of the topcovers and the drums and hope to put them to good use when Pirate gets my MG...

Re: trommel carrier
I was not awair that any reproductions had been made. In the last couple of years thay have found some beautiful and rare items still laying in warehouses in the east. A good example is the 200 MG34 trommel top covers someone stumbled onto a few years ago. Before that they were ungodly expensive and...
