Re: Ammo for S/A M53 converted to 7.62x51
Try the Pakistani 308, it comes in a 250 rd can, and it is all belted in 5ea, MG3/42 belts, with one starter tab.
,,,,The primers are hard, and all the rounds do fire well.
....I think Cheaper han Dirt still has it, for $129. a can.

Re: For Sale MG34 Partial Kit
You're missing the most valuable typical parts, like the bolt, recoil spring, charging handle, the cut up receiver and fittings that go on the receiver.....What remains is far less valuable than $800. Did you already sell off the other parts?

Richard; .............Your two piece blank barrel (I have it set for 308) just never quits!!.......At times, I just have to get out of the way in tactical battles, and spray down your barrel because of over-heating.....It just keeps on running! ....and right now, I still am using the Austrian green ...

Re: Lafette Mount Conversion
Until you decide what you want, the post war lafettes are cheap & available, in that case the TNW adaptor would give you the ability to get the gun onto the lafette, until you find the war-time one.

rgus48;..> Yeah there is a way to mount a 34 onto a 42 lafette, but you will have to permanently alter the trigger linkage with a dremel tool or file. .......TNW has a $25.00 mounting block, that you screw onto the bottom rear of the barrel jacket, once you remove the two screws holding the spring c...

Hey you guys in Great Britian;......I thought you guys can own bolt action rifles over there, even though they have to be kept at your local range 'Gun Club'......Why is a simple bolt action rifle hiving to be 'de-activated' for import there?....

I do know of a book, totally dedicated to the 7.92mm german service round; :"German 7.9mm Military Ammunition" by Daniel W. Kent .......Mr. Kent covers all the different ammo labels put on the 15 rd boxes in detail.....Headstamps also plus the different types of 7.9mm rds employed, and others, just ...

Re: My TNW mg 34 wont cycle
......just reading what he has said, it does cock, and fires when he pulls the trigger, but does not recoil enough to eject, and subsequently ram the next round home on its own......The firing pin spring inside the bolt would not keep the bolt from recoilling and cycling properly.......I would be in...

Re: New to the Forum, with a Wise Lite Yugo M53!
So shameless, that I actually learned things about the MG-42 from John Baum's translated German Manuals..!!! (Thought I knew all about MGs, with 22 years in tanks in the Army using the lousey M-73/M-219 coax MGs, the replacement for those, the M-240 (we got in Germany in 1978), the M-60 & M-2) ...al...

Re: My TNW mg 34 wont cycle
Ok, possibly weak ammo, but that ammo is pretty strong, and the blast cone, of course you do have it installed..? Without it under the flash hidder, there will be no recoiling of the bolt assembly. ...? (what size hole in the blast cone? Shooting 8mm though, whether small or large hole, the bolt sho...

Re: My TNW mg 34 wont cycle
When you say ejection happens, then all that's left is the next round being rammed into the chamber!......You are almost there with a complete cycle. .......You chamber the round, you pull the trigger/it fires, bolt recoils to the rear & empty case is ejected, bolt returns foward ramming the next ro...

Class 3 owners are the best behaved gun owners in the country....When it comes to using a NFA firearm in an chargeable offense, it hardly happens. .......What is tragic, but ironic, about 6-7 years ago in freekin non-NFA New Jersey, a policeman, who had a MP-5 assigned to him, used it in killing a c...
