Producing new semi autos is a rough business. Imagine trying to get a semi MP40 design approved and they deny it at the level where you sent a sample in. They wouldn't give it back to you.

I was just coming to post the same suggestion. Both weapons tend to go hand in hand on many subjects.

I've been toying with buying a TNW receiveer to save me some hassles, but I would like to see a side by side comparison with an original....just to see the extent of the similarities or differences. There is nothing worse than thinking you have something dead on, but in reality it isn't.

Solution?

What is being done to insure the weld will blue the same as the receiver steel? OR is parking the answer? I used to own one of IO's SR-71 PPSH-41's. Since they welded the rear cap that was used to field strip the weapon, I had a gunsmith cut off the rear of their receiver with cap, and weld one from...

Agreed

Their quality has definatly plummeted. When they first opened shop on the internet, thety actually had really nice kits to offer...after they sold out, they must have started skimming the bottom of the pond. Age old tale of a business started after they stepped in (Try a different word.) and came ac...

Another suggestion

Might be overdoing it, but perhaps a quick run on a lath to sharpen the step from the stem to the end that is welded on. Looking at an original, they didn't put a weld bead around the step, it is as if pressed on.

Slight difficulties...

Maybe it's just my computer, but the font color is frequently blending with background colors so I have to hightlight things to read them. The whites on light grey are hard on the eyes too.

Erg

Does anyone know how drastic the differences are between the Wartime model and the .308 version? I almost bid on one on ebay (Gurtfuller 34), but spent too much elsewhere to pay $700.

Nice

Nice of them to let the grinding wheel have a run of the receiver.
