Mg42 Plans

Post by NickD »

Hi all,

I know this project is pretty intense. I was wondering if anyone had any plans or links to any MG42 build plans that are a little easier to follow than the BPR ones I have and have seen. I am not a machinist or engineer by trade, I have put together 2 Model A roadsters and motors, built a Sten MKII (Waaaaay easier than this lol) so I am "somewhat" handy with tools. Maybe I am just over analyzing the plans I have (BPR). I am having a feeling I will be the "measure 20 times, cut once" guy for this project. I do not want to throw in the towel, the finished results look amazing here in this site.

Thank you in advance...

Welcome
Take your time measure 21 times then cut 1 time. LOL. You can cut and weld again if you need to.

Take a long look at the following if you have not already.

Lots of good folks and posted stuff here. Please take pics post and ask questions as we all learn that way.

Thank you! I had bookmarked that link...very helpful! Will do. I figure if I get it built right and working, than "if" I built another, at least I can just redo what I had done before. ;)

Look here for the thread "Bil"s build' it's an old one and gets you through the harder parts-I just never finished it-the thread, not the gun. There are several other build threads that are helpful...good luck!! ...bil

Sorry for the delay.. I got engaged, and married... so had to put my build on pause for a few months.. but back on it.

Thank you for the lead!
