Bolt Rail Question

I've got a set of new rails. They appear identical except one has the number one painted on the inside and the other has the number 11. Can either one go on either side? It appears that if they are a correct set this would be the case. I don't have an old set of rails to compare thus the question. Thanks in advance for any advise.

they should be a little different---one side (the left---on top of the recouperator) should be a little thinner on the bottom --mine were-the "thin" side gose ontop of the recoup--this gives clearance to remove the recoup

Thanks, makes sense, I noticed that on my set regardless of which ever piece goes on the left, the thinner rail will be down.
