Picked up a mg08 I found in October today. Paperwork came back in jan and road Trip today to pick it up.

Nice! Looks like it was a Trophy. Probably still has the original paint under it.

Want to sell the sled? I need one to trade! I also need the traverse lug.

Looks like one I've seen in the People's Republic of Massachusetts. Any restoration progress pics yet?

Not much to report. Waiting on the form 1 to return. I have removed some paint but thought it best not to tear it apart until the approved form 1 came back. I have been feeding it liberal amounts of oil so maybe it will come apart without fuss when the time comes.

Try soaking it in diesel fuel. When I was a kid on the farm, my father used to restore old tractors. Most have been sitting in the trees for 40+ years and were seized solid. After filling everything with diesel and letting it soak for a few months it would break free. I still use that trick in my everyday life as a heavy equipment manager.
