Sled with Camo paint?

Post by mg34nz »

Hi All,

here are some images of a sled, the paint looks like the yellow ocher/brown seen on camo German helmets of WW1 vintage and is a matt finish, its very old and flakey in places. The sled is very complete and I know its been in one family's ownership from at least the 1960's where for most of that time it has resided in the attic.Quite cool to see the oil/grease box still has its contents.
What do you think?

Cheers
Andrew

Does anyone have an opinion on thie pictured sled?

While we are in sled mode....Im looking for a real junker/basket case in need of restoration or just parts ...ANYTHING considered and the cheaper the better. I would like to restore one to go with my 1915 gun restoration.

Thanks
Andrew
