Wow...that is interesting.

That is a major taboo.

I can see the original desires to hide and not reveal anyting from that era...but in like raising kids...the more you try to hide and deny something, the more fascinating it becomes.

...and with the way the world is going today...hiding former regimes relics is the least of anyone's worries...

I recently saw a show where there were a lot of germans that openly liked the Nazis-but for some reason it was in black and white,and the picture moved funny. :? It is when you try to hide the past or change it ,that it becomes dangerous.I think denying the past is as bad as denying the German veterans any respectg and benefits when they returned from wherever or whenever after the war. ---bil

You're right Bil.

Everyone melted away from the SS. Guess natural human reaction to pull away as to not get burned.

I saw some sites had where you could donate to former Waffen-SS soldiers that had nothing and needed monetary support.

Wasn't sure their legitimacy, but those guys really got a raw deal.
