Excellent looking movie set in WW2

This movie, Valkyrie, looks amazing in the previews. Historically, they are trying to make it accurate as possible, by even paying attention to the small details. Apparently, the director is a "history buff" in ww2 related subjects. Hopefully everything will be portrayed as it's supposed to have been back then (minus the speech being in english that is  ).

Give you all something to look forward to, just hope Tom Cruise doesn't over dramatize this  ...

I heard the Germans didn't let them film one scene in front of a famous building in Berlin because Tom Cruise was a Scientologist and the Germans equate that with being in a cult.

Judging by the previews, and what I've heard, it looks like a good "reinactor" flick. My only problem with it is Cruise.....I don't like him to start with, and....being the "lead"....he makes Von Stauffenburg look like the leader of the plot, instead of (mostly) just the bomb carrier that he was.

Our WWII reenactment group is going to all go see Valkyrie together (out of uniform of course, to prevent starting riots). I think it's going to be a good movie. (I'm trying hard NOT to look at Michael J's HUGE spoiler!)

I saw the movie yesterday and it was O.K. I have researched Hilters home and in the movie they had a fireplace to the left of the big picture window with the generals around it. The fireplace was at the end of the room away from the window. From the pictures that I have there was a large hanging taperisty {sp} hanging on the wall .

Saw the film - would of loved more North Africa action - what was the details surrounding the foks in the decoding room with teletype machines one German and one Brit (RAF uniform)? Puzzled on the history :? :? :?

i had low expectations for this being a main stream movie and all. i was extreamly surprised and thought the movie was done to the best of hollywoods abilities. best ww2 movie ive seen in a long time... out of the recent movies it ranks up there with privite ryan and downfall.
