WTB: AK47 75 round bananna mag

Post by noonxnoon »

Been looking around for the 75 round bananna clip for regualr AK47.

Only seen the drum mags...would rather have the bananna one.

Anyone have one they willing to part with or seen any around?

Thanks

I've seen one of those on some Cheaper than Dirt's website here:

http://www.cheaperthandirt.net/49138-1.html

Word has it that those 75 round box mags jam often, which makes sense considering how much friction a mag like that would have. Cheaper Than Dirt sells these as nonfunctional. Maybe you can get one to work with a little ingenuity and a proper spring, but I doubt it. I found that after use a 100 rd Chinese drum on my AK-47 a few times, that I get tired of the weight and it starts affecting my aim. I went back to the 30 rd mags. Chances are that unless an army tries to invade my house, I won't really need it.

DA,

Thanks for the reply. I see it say it is 'non-functional display'.

I pretty much want it more for astectis(sp?)...pain in the backside jamming 75 rounds in!

No interest in the drum...as you mentioned...weight will drag on yah.

Interestinly enought...the display one cost the same as the going price for a fully functional.

...but alas...the Cheaper than Dirt page says it is out of stock and can't be reordered :(

I think the "nonfunctional" ones USED TO BE listed as working mags. Guess they got too many complaints. They do look ridiculously cool though...

Thanks Drooling,

The updated link has it listed as in stock.

Bit hard to belive they are selling a 'display only' for 70 bucks...but I missed my chance on 'real' ones last year from Century.

Thanks again DA for the initial find and comments as well.

Hey RailSplitter, thanks for the link.

This seems more 'robust' of a 75 rounder and about the same price as the Cheaper then Dirt one...but...out of stock :|

Will email them to see if they will ever get any more in.

Thanks!
