Interesting part for sale on G/B, not mine.
The owner has inquired as to what it fits. Marked "WaA 727".
Looks to me like the pivot assembly for an aircraft ball-mount. Could swear I've seen one here on our site.
Anyone know what it fits?.....Phil

Not much there to give any idea of size. Could be for an MG15, MG81, MG131........just about anything they used in the air or it could be for some tank or armored vehicle. With a Waffen Amt proof it is not likely Luftwaffe as they had their own procurement system and proofs. Good luck finding out and let us know.

Yes, of course, it's been discussed here, but pictures missing. I found it.
From Folke's original book, page 273. "MG34 6-piece Barrel jacket adaptor for fortress mount"
"Mounts where the AA sight had been mounted".
Here's a shroud with no AA sight. Where do all the pieces assemble?
Is the slot on the front piece to clear the foreward bipod leaf-spring?........Phil
