Need a couple receiver dimensions

Postby Steelblitz » Fri Jan 29, 2010 7:28 pm

Going to be welding up some receiver parts this weekend and I could use a couple dimensions to double check myself. This one print I have does not have all the dimensions, and if they are there, they are blurry to all heck.

Anyhow, what I could use is:
-width of ejector plate, wide and narrow dimensions if you got them.
-distance between pistol grip mounting holes on center. (130.5mm?)

Thanks!

That's the width of the ejector plate cutout on the receiver I could use, not the width of the ejector plate since I imagine the plate is undersize slightly.

Bump it on up.

If someone could just verify that I should have 5.138 between centers of the pistol grip holes on the receiver, that would ease my mind to get welding on this receiver.

Best way is to put in the pistol grip with the pins, tack the sides of the receiver and around to where you can set the distance using the grip itself to set the spacing. Chris....

I'd love to do that, but I don't have a parts kit yet. My plans to get a kit last week were dashed for the short term with a hefty septic tank emergency repair. Nothing like the pumps and floats going out in the middle of winter, then to find a hole the size of my fist in the oen tank, due to a winter spring eroding the side of the tank and filling the system.

Be patient and wait until you get the grip. If you're 20 thousandths off from what the grip needs, you'll end up messing up the holes to get it to fit. One step at a time is the way to go.

Here are the basic dimensions that you need...

PLEASE listen to the man. This gun is unforgiving. Mine was about .010 off and I have to beat the $hit out of it with a hammer to get the pins in and out.

Are you using a welding jig? This job is impossible without one. Yeah, I said it....impossible.
