With the reputation that guy has, I'd be surprised if the pictures weren't staged down the road from his house.

The original photos are real (although these may be reproductions).
During the Viet-Nam-War......the US Military found quite a few WWII German MG-34s.

We found guns from a lot of different nations in some of the cashes that not only the VC used....but some early on NVA units.

Ever watch "We Were Soldiers" will Mel Gibson. The commies have an MG34 in the final battle scene (with rear sight set to 2000 meters).

The Foreign Legion in the early 50's had a lot of former German soldiers and Waffen SS. The French didn't care about their past as long as they would fight. They also used a lot of war booty weapons of various makes.[I was going to say 'captured' equipment, but that wouldn't be too accurate  ]Somewhere I have some pics of an MG34 at Dien Bien Pheiu.I am sure a lot of this equipment was left behind.I am not sure if any was supplied by the Russians at this point. ---bil

I think I have a photo of a scrap yard of weapons from the Vietnam war that has a pile of MG34 rusting away.

Wow, someone should tell Century Arms to get on that. How they ever overlooked the chance to import oxidizing German weapons from Southeast Asia is beyond me.

That guy in the photo doesn't have his rear AA sight 'up'.

Yeah I caught that as well. It is either staged, or they were the worst anti-aircraft crew throughout the war!
