They don't fit on the MG42 lafette, they fit on the MG3 lafette. Totally bogus information in the ad.
I sent them the below email.... we'll see if they correct their errors, or if they are just like those other guys who regularly misrepresent their wares in their ads.

You have the telescopic sight listed in your ad with incorrect information about origin, description, and use.
This scope was not made until the 1970's, and is used for the MG3 tripod, which is a completely different tripod and scope mounting system than the WWII MG42 tripod had. The scopes are not even compatible, as the mounts on the two tripods are different.
While the MG42 itself will fit on the MG3 tripod and the MG3 tripod is frequently used for that purpose, but that's as close as it gets for this scope being associated in any way with WWII.
I expect you'll be getting returns from buyers who believe your ad copy that it's for the MG42 tripod, unless you list it for what it is. It is not for an MG42 tripod, nor is it in any way related to WWII.
