Hi, just got my very first lafette. It is a ground dug ex 34 lafette modified for 42. Most of it is pitted, parts that are blued are not pitted. MG fits OK.
general view:
Marking details I have found until now:
1940 and a triangle, who ist the producer?
search-fire unit 1939
This needs heavy puttying, what for is this part?
Other details:
Is there any place where do I buy spare parts for lafette except for mg34.us? I would really need to replace for example this part:
Everything is movable and seems to work. Fire level works but the front part which should pull the trigger does not move with it. How is it connected? Please help me with this, too.

Re: Lafette 34/42 to restore
I have started with disassembly, more markings found:
Eagle 79
Eagle WaA 27
36.
19 (??)
25
W
N
Big VK in circle
After disassembly, I have found that there is no lingake between the firing mechanism and trigger. I have found this "firing pin" in one disassembly picture in older topics at this board. It looks similar to mauser bolt firing pin but seems to be 8mm longer.
Where do I get spare one? I would need the lafette to be in working condition in two weeks on a reenactment event.

Sure they do. But not those I need. I even emailed them in case but no reply has come in two days.

OK some update: I have stripped off the ugly color, smoothed it a little bit with putty and sprayed yellow.. unfortunately then I realised I took the wrong spray - Sandgelb instead of Dunkelgelb.

I have a Lafette 42 that I have been thinking of selling. It is all German, and complete except for the accessories (slings, optics). Don't know how to post pictures, so if you email me at tompeetz@comcast.net, I'll send them off.
