Definately no plans to sell, but you never know.

I'm about to start putting the gun cradle together and I unsure which way the parallel linkage for the trigger goes. One link is further from its respective roller than the other and the Yugo manual appears to show these parts to the front. Can anyone confirm big gap to the front and small gap to the rear?

Can you see this part without taking everything apart? If so I'll check mine out. If I need to take it apart you need to ask someone else.

No chance. The easiest method is to slide out the sheet metal dust cover from the side of the cradle bump otherwise you need to remove the inner from the outer.
Don't worry if your not able as I've also posed the question to Reidar (aka Bergflak).

I'm pretty sure I'm correct in my assumption, otherwise, it's going to be 50/50.

I can confirm that the linkage has the larger gap to the front.
I have now installed the linkage, the two plungers either end of the linkage and the associated spring under the front plunger.
I have also installed the four cradle bearings but I've realised that there is going to be a problem installing the cradle as the trigger block jutting out from the inner cradle will not get past the installed bearing. However, I have an idea on how to install it even though the bearing will be hidden with nothing to hold it in place during installation.

Does anyone know what the rather substantial spring is for on the tappet/actuating rod for the forward trigger mechanism? It does not seem to serve any purpose since it is captive at both ends by the rod and shoulder, underneath and to the right of the spring, and the pinned tube, at left, which bears upon the parallel linkage mechanism.
The whole thing appears to be solid with the spring compressed, to a certain degree, in the middle.

That is so when the firing lever is pulled it keeps the full auto trigger depressed during the firing cycle. Very clever linkage after you review it a lot. First time I saw linkage like that was on the mg3 postwar German tripod.

Are you sure because the spring does not seem to have any mechanical use. The rod, left, middle and right, has the purpose of transfering the mechanical movement from hand to weapon trigger, however, the spring just sits there inactive.
I was studying the mechanism working without the inner cradle inserted and non of the rod components including the spring move in relation to each other when they are operated and pushing the linkage components.

Hello,

the Spring is described as a "Überdruckfeder" "Overpressure Spring". I think its a "Securityfeature"....in case of a blocked Trigger the Spring absorbes the power and you are not able to bend something from the trigger mechanism.
It's my thought

Thanks for that but I'm still of the opinion that it has no function in the 42 version. Maybe it is a hangover from the 34.
