Have you got all of the little foam pieces out of the tripod yet......LOL..... BUT... On mine there were several areas that they changed parts and used new ones. I believe that the optics area had new screws and was bent and the oil brush top was of current make.

Sounds like you got a nice one.

On mine I used some rubbing alcohol on the back plate area to find the maker and marks. They say that the German paint holds and the yugo and post war stuff comes off easy. Like mine with rubbing alcohol. The tan color that was under the green stayed and I could also see in the chips areas the red underprimer.

Enjoy.

I'm delighted!
After a lot of cleaning and gallons of degreaser.
Every thing is spot on!
Amazed how just a wee bit of ? can stop the "34 from fitting into place.
The money was indeed well spent.
Guess it was the luck of the draw.
How did German infantry ever keep them up and running?
The Mg Z is back where she belongs.
Question.
Can't find anything on the Manufac code BKH
Low serial number 61XX.
What would "a" mean? Production change?
W/B calling for sleet,frz rain,snow,locust,plague, tonite.
Now to start looking for a 22 L.R. conversion kit for the '34.
Pray for Spring.

bkh = Werbig, Hermann, Waggonfabrik, Nossen/Sa.

I'll add this to my list of codes shortly.

Bryan.
Thanks for the BKH code answer.
Got very brave this afternoon.Really, I was just bored.
Broke the Mount,'34 down to it's folded position
Went together MUCH quicker the 2nd time. The tolerance
between the various parts quite small.
Again, Bryan thanks for the addill' information.
