Here's my K43, don't have any new pix since I've rebuilt the rear of the stock, somebody had cut off a couple inches off the rear and added a rubber buttplate, I've spliced it and repaired it since these pix were taken.....Chris...

Why is your trigger so far back? Neither of my K43s do this.

I've got a stock in the same condition. Can you tell us how you went about repairing yours?

This is my first k/g 43 so as far as the trigger goes I'm not sure, as soon as it is the action is cycled it is completely normal.....
I need to take some more pix, if I can find my darn camera.....basically all I did was place another couple inches of wood onto the rear of the stock with glue and woodscrews....I had the outer dimensions slightly smaller, imagine if you will the back end of a K98 with the buttplate off, I will never have a fully original stock, but the dimensions were just slightly smaller than what the K98 buttplate is, so I am having a K98 buttplate cut in the middle(width wise) and then removing an inch or so of metal in the middle, then rewelding it and dressing it up to look good....that will go back on over the splice. Won't be perfect, but I'm sure that there are a lot of G/K43's that would benefit from that kind of treatment.....hope that made sense, new photos would be easier....Chris....

Had to throw this closeup in, it's a cool postcard, that is WW2 vintage, got it from a Waffen SS vet! The stock is a laminate stock, there were hardwood stocks on the G43 as a late war expedient measure, but most were laminate....Chris...

The Previous mauser is probably at about 50%, BYF43, all matching except the handguard and bolt (which matches itself). Here's a DAK Helmet and an M35....
