Guys, here is my latest 42. I finished it today. Now the fun part. TESTING!
It was a Angola 3 cut kit. Dan has great stuff. I hope he gets more.

great welds.. what did you use to grind your welds down. What grit grinder pad did you use. It looks so flush..

Grinding the welds flush.

I use a heavy disk grinder to lower the welds. I then use 2 inch scotch brite finishing disks on a air grinder. I start with coarse, and finish with a fine grit. It depends on the type of finish I will be putting on the mg.
I hope to test several MG42/53s this weekend. If this site will tale videos I will post the testing.

Nice gun. Wish I could afford a FA MG42.
