Re: WTB Trommelhalter for MG34

I do not know what the cover that Bergflak had sold for...serial-number #4761. The one on GunBroker today is also from a European seller (Rudy)......serial-number #8721......with starting-bid of $2,500 (?). Keep checking the e-bay boards in Europe......such as www.ebay.co.uk ……..and the ones in Germ...

Re: WTB Trommelhalter for MG34

Talk with "Bergflak" through bergflak.com With him being over in Norway/Europe......he comes across some rare items from time-to-time. Also, I seem to recall an original for-sale through E-Bay.DE......or one of the European E-Bays currently. Expensive......but if you have to have one. Also, the WWII...

Re: Blank-Adapting the MG34.

With the MG42 Board now back up.....we need to work to replace missing photos, and post updated photos where "Photo-Bucket" blurred them out and held them hostage. Question for the Mods is do we try to insert our photos in the threads where the old ones are missing (like an edit function)…...or do w...

Re: blank adapting the mg42/m53/mg1-3

Now that the MG42 Board is back up...…..we need to start to replace photos lost in the many threads that we have worked hard on...…..and update those missing photos that "Photo-Bucket" seem to blur-out and hold hostage. Hopefully I can get started on my parts/photos shortly. Question for the Mods: D...

WTB: SA42 Projects, Barrels, and Cut-Receivers.

Looking for the following MG42 items: 1: Someone's SA42 project that they started but couldn't finish......and couldn't get it to operate correctly. This will be a winter project for me and needed as a test-bed for future-projects. 2: MG42 Barrels (8x57mm and .308). 3: Cut/DEMILed MG42 receivers...…...

M53FA, I'll try to bring you up to date on a lot of what is covered in the earlier 4-pages of posts on this subject...….or at least as far as I understand them...…..: Our design(s) is based mostly on a couple of ideas: 1: To make a replica as close to what the original designers in Finland did durin...

Re: MG42 Value

So then does this mean that an old 3-cut "Angola-Dan" receiver with a parts-kit like this would be more $$$$…...or is this just another one of those "auction" "things"....(??).

Re: blank adapting the mg42/m53/mg1-3

junglewalk…….. You could try asking around in the cartridge-collectors forums...…..someone will have one of those WWII German 8x57mm Blanks to let go. I recall that a lot of Egyptian 8x57mm blanks use to be on the market. One of the units that I use to reenact WWI used them with an MG08 ….. fining t...

Re: Please help me find a legit builder

Lots of good information.....and then some that is guessing based on hours vs. self-labor. Realistically, if you "guestimate" the number of hours to make a "one-of" rear receiver...…..and then fit it to a "one-of" front half......you are going to come up with more than ten hours of work. The reason ...

You might try Bob owner of Ohio-Ordnance-Works. They use to make MP44 Barrels as needed.
Give them a call.

To give you more information to add to your statement about those parts.........I need to ask if you had a question (?). bergflak, Great information as always........and in great detail. Difference (?).....Yes. Your statement of just welding in Bushings on a few Barrel-Jackets for re-sale (?).............may not be a good idea......as their location may be off. Again........ ......if the Bushing is located too far rearward, the keys that keep the barrel-bearing oriented for installa...
