Re: New jigs

Not to rush things.....just to keep the topic current.....and possibly get an up-date as to how these are coming along (final version pics......prices....etc. (?).

Thanks again,

Re: WTS/WTB MGZ40 Optic Parts

Next.....(hoping that 42rocker will be moving these postings from the sales-ad)…...I have located a large grouping of MGZ34 and MGZ40 Optic photos assembled and taken apart that I hope I can find some way to post somewhere on our forum. I have attached a photo of what are suppose to be the Level-Via...

Re: WTS/WTB MGZ40 Optic Parts

sdd5317, First, sorry to add information to your "for-sale-ad", for ajmdreammg42 to use to get his MGZ40 optic repaired...…...I would request that 42rocker (or one of the other mods) split this thread somehow as the repair of MGZ/MGZ34, and MGZ40 Optic-Vials may be a worthwhile subject to have its o...

Re: WTS/WTB MGZ40 Optic Parts

JBaum, Thank you for that information. Most collectors in the USA don't understand that the optical lights/cords/Battery-Boxes that many believe are just for the MG42 and MG34...….are part of the night light systems used on WWII German Artillery and Mortars. Most of the large guns were either sold-o...

Re: WTS/WTB MGZ40 Optic Parts

For a level-vial......you will need to contact him directly (e-mail......and ask that he look/ask around in Norway and Europe...……..maybe he knows someone with MGZ40 Optic Parts-??). The MGZ40, MGZ34, and MGZ should all use the same level-vial...….as with the German Aiming-circle and optical sights ...

Re: WTS/WTB MGZ40 Optic Parts

Have you checked with "Bergflak" over in Norway (?)…...I believe that there are a couple of sellers in Europe that have access to these (newly made) level-vials. Also, while we are on the subject of MGZ40 parts...…..I am in the need of the glass lens that covers the elevation settings (mine is crack...

Re: Origin and Date of Rear Receiver MG42 Dual Tone

Late war (1944 manufacture) "Steyr" MG42 were the receiver has been refinished so many times that the "PJ" in the second photo (left-rear of receiver) and the Waffenamt "WaA623" (first photo top-of-receiver-rear you almost can't see the "3") have almost removed the WWII markings. Re: New jigs

Jared, Your photos make the new welding jig a lot more easy to understand its use than the earlier drawing. I am interested in learning more about the final example.....and pricing. Have you started a "list" (?). Will there be a instruction booklet (maybe photos of set up, and use)…..and possible nu...

Jared, This looks like a good way to weld a DEMILed MG42 receiver...….but I have a couple question on the use of this type of "jig" that I would like to submit to you directly if possible (?). Also...….when you talked about a Cam-Pcs.-Rivet-Support for installing the rivet...…..what information do y...

I do not know what the cover that Bergflak had sold for...serial-number #4761. The one on GunBroker today is also from a European seller (Rudy)......serial-number #8721......with starting-bid of $2,500 (?). Keep checking the e-bay boards in Europe......such as www.ebay.co.uk ……..and the ones in Germ...

Re: WTB Trommelhalter for MG34

Talk with "Bergflak" through bergflak.com With him being over in Norway/Europe......he comes across some rare items from time-to-time. Also, I seem to recall an original for-sale through E-Bay.DE......or one of the European E-Bays currently. Expensive......but if you have to have one. Also, the WWII...

With the MG42 Board now back up.....we need to work to replace missing photos, and post updated photos where "Photo-Bucket" blurred them out and held them hostage. Question for the Mods is do we try to insert our photos in the threads where the old ones are missing (like an edit function)…...or do w...

Now that the MG42 Board is back up...…..we need to start to replace photos lost in the many threads that we have worked hard on...…..and update those missing photos that "Photo-Bucket" seem to blur-out and hold hostage. Hopefully I can get started on my parts/photos shortly. Question for the Mods: D...

So then does this mean that an old 3-cut "Angola-Dan" receiver with a parts-kit like this would be more $$$$…...or is this just another one of those "auction" "things"....(??).
