Re: Semi-Auto Trigger For Open Bolt Gun

Actually this design is more complicated than the mg74.The mg74 has only 1 part added which is a pivoting lifter on the rear trigger pin hole and the sear has a shelf that the pivot comes into contact with.when you squeeze it so much the trigger pivot just slips off the sear.

Here's one off rtg parts website. Buying one of these and making the semi modest is probably the best answer.

Re: Mg42 on a mg3 tripod

Mg3 charging handle rivets are generally flush and not protruding like that.im not sure if taking your rivet heads off charging handle would work or not. It may fall apart.

Re: Custom cut foam gun case

Not sure,I think most guys buy a gunners box to hold everything. That would have to be one hell of a case to have cutouts. Its a very heavy weapon I cannot imagine foam holding it and it not shifting while carrying, but a gunners chest has supports cut out and are made specifically to hold it. The pel...

Re: 1st model MG42 Bipod?

Re: 1st model MG42 Bipod?

Good question.Time to look at old photos and research.Looking at Johns Mg42 repair manual on page 88 we have a bipod modification with a photo and a description " 143. Bipod The bipod is like tgat of tge mg34 except for the Mount."Look at side view of photo. While crossarm is not present the cutout i...

Never seen one of these,I don't need it but it's one of those Hens tooth items that might make someone's day. https://www.ebay.com/i/264339623328?ul_ref=https%253A%252F%252Frover.ebay.com%252Frover%252F0%252Fe11011.m43.l1123%252F7%253Feuid%253D7486f4257a5a40e0a9e90800fc835ff0%2526bu%253D44171985547%...

Used small 6/32 screw head on the inside, nut outside.Make sure the bolt clears the bolt heads. Now to making up metal from torch cuts.Use a set of salvaged rails with holes present to line up receiver sections so you can see how much material is missing, bolt in recouperator as well.If it's a semi ge...

Re: WW2 DFB MG42 Back Metal

For what it's worth you have a better chance selling it with your 4 cut and upping the price. Nobody has mentioned it and somone correct if you think I'm wrong but I doubt there's many people Who will buy a WWII receiver only to slap a post war mg3 rear on it. If it was Yugo ,yes, many have done it ...
