Re: Bolt Hold Open Pictures?

Thanks again for posting, Markntc. I will consider this design. I do like its unobtrusiveness and i DO have to build the back end of the ratchet plate back up anyway, to be proper. Fjruples design using FAL parts sounds interesting, I wish the photos for the tube design were still up. Sounds a bit a...

Re: Bolt Hold Open Pictures?

I am missing a bit of my ratchet plate on the back, but based on your photo, I think this could be adjusted for with the length of the hook on the charging handle. I have a few questions, if you dont mind. Just to clarify, this hold open does not effect operation of the charging handle during operat...

Re: Bolt Hold Open Pictures?

Thank you for posting these! Wow, this a bit different from the last design i saw, which had the stud welded to the ratchet plate. I am pretty close to finishing my build, however I really want to add a bolt hold-open device to it before its completed. Does anyone have the photos and descriptions? ...

Re: Moving diagrams of Beltfed MGs

Hey also there is a cool, free app on your phone called "weappns field strip". You can find it in google play. One of the most high detailed little "games" pertainings to function and cycle of operations ive ever seen. Just as good as world of guns (which ive found useful for some things, including ...

Re: Introductions (or one way to increase your post count).

Hey all, been lurking on and off here for years in my dreams of one day owning an MG42. I live in the Northwest, army 15 years. A bit of this and a bit of that. I FINALLY pulled the trigger on a beautiful CRA 1944 complete gun- save the MG2 topcover, barrel and tray (and bipod). I began scouring the...
