The old pictures

Post by JBaum » Tue Mar 31, 2020 5:40 pm

Steve (former owner of this board) just sent me about 6000 pictures, which were from an old backup. have checked a few very old posts, and the pictures for them are returning as I get them uploaded. It'll take a while for me to get them all back online, so here's hoping that at least most of the pictures will be back.

A couple hours later: I've uploaded over 1,000 pictures now, and they're showing up and working as they should. By late tonight, I should have all of what is available working. It won't be everything, but it will be a lot.

And as of April 1 at 8:30, I've uploaded nearly 6000 files, including a few PDFs but mostly pictures. A lot of good stuff is back, but most everything that was uploaded in the last couple years is gone, as the backup files were from years ago. Most picture activity was from back then, so most of it is back. At this point, I have done everything I can do to restore the pictures.

Thanks to Steve.

Big thanks! Was curious, if we do have some missing photo's from a post can we re-upload the photos to the post where they are missing? Or is it ok to repost them by replying to the post they are missing from?

When my wife was a flight attendant, I got to fly for free so going to the Phoenix SAR show was easy. Once I had to start paying to fly, the manuals I sold didn't cover the tickets, let alone the other expenses, so I gave it up. The real kick was having the D-Day reenactment in Conneaut, OH cancel for this August. That was driving distance for me, didn't even have to get a motel. Oh well, I'm still doing a lot better than a lot of others. At least I still sell mail orders.
