Post by sdd5317 » Tue Jan 28, 2020 7:15 pm

This is the rear section of an MG42 parts Kit I have. Looking for any information on the date of manufacture, maker, etc. the mid section / rear sight area has “EHS” stamp, ratchet plates are marked “EHS” and the front shroud where the threads are is marked “EHS”

Late war (1944 manufacture) "Steyr" MG42 were the receiver has been refinished so many times that the "PJ" in the second photo (left-rear of receiver) and the Waffenamt "WaA623" (first photo top-of-receiver-rear you almost can't see the "3") have almost removed the WWII markings.
