A new study added to my homepage! I have gone through all available material in regards to the Überschießtafel. They have now been divided into "models" and variations. In addition I have also "analyzed" the copies known to me on the market.

The Lafette bolt box, mystery solved!
I have now analyzed and concluded on the variations of the bolt box, both during WW2 and postwar production. This will be the first of a series of articles about the different details of the Lafette. Hope you will enjoy reading it! Thanks to 42rocker for valuable assistance. http://www.bergflak.com/...

Lafette 53....need help
I am writing on my next article about the Lafette, and it will be the definitive guide to the bolt box. Unfortunately I have no access to a Yugoslavian "Lafette 53" bolt box. I need one measurement, the overall length in cm, and it would be great with a set of pictures of the actual box. But it must...

Re: Lafette Pics
Yugo(?) reworked MG34 Lafette. I can't find any German WW2 Lafette with a 2-bolt tray in my archive. They are all 3-bolts, or riveted with 2 rivets. Even the first fsu 1942 MG42 Lafette has a 3-bolt tray. But note that the tray has been removed and blued (should be painted in same color as Lafette) ...

New Lafette code found!
A "stop the press!" update. A new hitherto unknown marking has surfaced.
The code "sxk" with the yearcode "DL" has never been registered before, but has now been added to my Lafette articles!
http://www.bergflak.com/lafette/Lafetteindex.html
The truth is out there.....

Re: Mg 42 Lafette on ebay
The French board is the only one I know of, and I do not go there, as I find it too complicated to deal with [diz] :-) My own knowledge about the MG42 is limited. I dig deep when I write about certain "uncovered" subjects, but most weapons in general has been studied by so many people smarter than m...

Re: Mg 42 Lafette on ebay
Pritty much a "Bulls eye" there Richard! In addition I would say that trying to pass that paint job as "WW2 periode original" is a bit over the edge. Also worth noting is how the alu parts have been totally sanded down removing the black Yugo anodizing. Now they are left in the white (aluminum) whil...

Re: MG34 AA tripod
I hate to revive an old thread, but was this done back then? Did the Germans ever substitute an MG-13 Tripod for the MG34 during the war? Sorry if this sounds stupid. Frank Add a few basic facts, and the result is given. The MG-13 AA mount was made in Portugal. It was never made by the Germans. It ...

Re: The evolution of the Lafette 42. Now online!
The code-list has been updated with a list for the year-codes used on the Lafette 42 rear covers instead of the two digits (43-44-45). If ANYONE has any two-letter codes not on the list I would be grateful for any info. I am also still collecting year/maker/serial number info for my next article abo...

Re: Trommelfuller on ebay Germany
I truly doubt the claim that there are only 2 of these known in the world but obviously from the numbers seen it would appear they are unusual. Frank :D Seller contacted me some weeks ago, asking me how rare the machine was and if I was interested in buying it. I told him "Two of my friends have a ...

And then yet another picture emerged.... I have also restored the PT34 article and added some new stuff to it, including a US training film ...

It is a Dreibein 34. Could be used With both the MG34 and the MG42, depending on wich Lager (fork) you put on the rod. I do have a spare center rod, but no extra forks.
