Re: I'm building....need some things....

I might have a lead on the recouperator bolts you need. Try contacting Tom at KMP. Karma Metal Products has them listed on thier website as a new product.

Unusual MG34 Buttstock?

Image

It's a bakelite buttstock and it's supposed to be for the MG34. I haven't seen one like it before.
Can anyone tell me anything about it?

Thanks,
Robert

Did anyone get one of these stocks in cherry or maple?

It would be nice to see the three diffierent stocks side by side to compare. Walnut is a good choice, but I'm curious how cherry and maple would look.

Dan,
I'm in need of a nice looking wood stock.

Did you make a second run of these? Do they use the yugo or german buffer?

Thanks for the pictures and explanation. looks like a good solution.

One question though. Since you had to bore the hole through the buttstock, how did you modify the buttstock latch to keep the buttstock from turning?

Looks like a ZB30 bipod. (Could be a ZB26 but the feet look more like the ZB30 model.)
No idea what the wire spring thing is.

Personally I'd prefer something close to the original thickness.
Do you have a target price range for these in mind?

I'd be interested in one if a group buy could be arranged with BRP. Depending on the price, I might be up for two.

Making another run of recievers isn't a cheap proposition. It'll may take quite a few seriously committed orders to make it worth their while to do.

Yeah, I wish I'd gotten in on the Weaponeer GB. I would love to have one of BRP's recievers to build on.
Hopefully BRP will make another run in the near future.

The ends of the rivet are almost hemi-spherical. To form the second rivet head after inserting it through the camming pieces, and make it look ORIGINAL, heat the end of the shank to cherry red with a oxy-acetylene torch, support the opposit end of the rivet, and form the head using a ball peen hamm...

Nice job!

I like the alignment block setup. Did you use a block somewhere in the middle too?

Have you got any more pictures or details to share?
