Re: Ryan Schnee's situation??
I'll have to agree with Dariv. Ryan can be slow, but in the end you will get your product. When something was delaying my MGZ34 optics, he let me hold onto one from his personal collection until he finished it. Just give him some time.

Re: Oel and Petroleum Can Markings?
Ok, I get it, collectors in the UK like Ryton Arms. Please, no more testimonials. Just do me a favor…buy the item, not the story. I just hope Ryton isn’t using the Russian line as a selling point. Regretfully, the militaria industry is rather shady, rivaled only in underhandedness (made that up)...

Re: Oel and Petroleum Can Markings?
Before I continue, and to avoid any confusion...I'm not saying these relics are not authentic WWII German. I am just questioning the source country who stored them over the years. Perhaps it would help if someone could post a comparative pic of what Russian green is compared to Yugoslavian green. I ...

Re: Oel and Petroleum Can Markings?
All I’m seeing on Ryton Arms site is Yugo green (and it’s various shades). Last piece of German equipment that I knew to have come out of Russia was the 34 Lafette mounts sold to Omega from Ryton Arms. They still maintained their original grey paint. Personally, I don’t see where the Russians ...

I.M.A. is good, just call them and make sure what you are getting-is it German WWII with the Waffen-Ampts or post war yugo? It will make a differance in price and value.Good luck! ---bil I'm starting to think that the Yugo post war Lafettes may have been made by East Germany for the Yugo's. The Lafe...

The only thing I would worry about is whether they buffed the pistol down beforeplating. If they did, you'll have crap.

Re: GERMAN EM 34 Rangefinder
The only positive I can see here is that it has it's original paint (not the norwegian paint). Besides that, you are missing the adjustment lathe with it's carrier. The tripod and it's pouch, and the carrier and tool for the EM34 itself. I paid about $760 shipped for a complete set in 2005. Not sure...

Re: MG34 Lafette Restoration
When you start on the search fire mechanism, make sure you thoroughly document what goes where. I did manage to reassemble mine, but it would have been easier if I kept track in the first place. It is hard to see in the pics, but did you manage to save some of the lime green or beige anodized alumin...

I sold 3 receiver so far, 2 on the boards, one on gb. They were the typical IMA/FAC supply. I got no less than $375 a piece. That was 4-5 months ago.

Just curious, is the core kit (without extras) one of the MG34.com kits (when they had them)?

What parts are exactly looking for? Are you looking for the barrel shroud attachments for when the MG is used as a ground MG?

I can't really answer as to why he did certain parts a certain way...as for the Lafette 34. The backpad plate needed repair. It is waiting for a bead blast so I can paint it and add it to the Lafette. The paint originally started as RAL 7021 that was still on the books as a color in the local paint ...
