Allegheny Arsenal (http://www.mg.34.com) supplies them with their Lafette tripods. I don't know if they sell them separately, but you can contact them and see.

MGAPA, Who sells a good black oxide kit? One that doesn't require a lot of high temps - Brownells? I had some info saved on my old hard drive before it committed suicide and lost alot of good data (read back up/save your data on a CD or something). I am leaning toward black oxide too. I understand t...

maxposner, I still frequent the 1919 board as do the others, but lately at work they firewalled the 1919 site, it comes up as "Weapons" so I can't get to it. I have asked our tech services division to get it removed. I work with the DoD, so you would think weapon would be OK. They are monitor...

I agree with DRH. I have one of his tripods (original type, not the M2 front leg version) and it is great. He's got a job with some long hours, so please be patient and he will get around to his e-mails. He ships the tripod in a sturdy box with plenty of packing and I highly recommend him.

Hey msg1956! I had to cross over the line sooner or later! You know this whole thing started for me from one 50 round belt I bought when I was a kid. It looks silvery/chrome belt I don't have it right now (I'm at work...) and was told it's for the Kriegsmarine, it's a WWII dated belt. But I never th...

maxposner, The 1919 while it can shoot .308/8mm and .30-06 they use different links. These links are either US M1 or Israeli and are different from M13, and they also run on fabric belts. Some members have used the M13 link, but it is either loaded or modified if I recall. I can't get to that websit...

I finally signed up, now that the 1919a4 site is firewalled at work as it gets filtered as "Weapons" I need another home for 8 hours LOL. Yes, I work for Uncle Sugar, I can't access sites that have "weapons" now that is just sad. Maybe if they changed the words so they filter as: steel eye candy, or...

Clip for MG34 Panzer Mantle Muzzle Booster Detent

I am looking for 5 of these clips, and I know my chances of getting stuck by lighting is greater than to find a few of these around. There is a post that called it a Panzermantle, and I think it was originally posted around Aug/Sep 05. I saw that I can add attachments - cool attaching the same pictu...

Hi all, New to board. TOM R I have a Allegheny Arsenal tripod, where is your tripod dated? It does apprear to have some dark finish under the apple green paint. The unpainted parts still retain a nice black finish. The AA extension is unmarked, except for a Cryllic looking N with 18 stamped on the h...
