This sounds like ATF baiting...

If you are building a semi, a complete (semi automatic modified receiver) will cost you like 1500 or so dollars. This will also require a FFL transfer, and is deemed a firearm by law.

If you are looking to assemble a Full auto, unless licensed to manufacture a dealer sample, hope you have deep pockets for a transferable class 3 machine gun receiver. Also make sure your state allows the private citizens ownership of class 3 goodies.

If you are looking for a challenge, you will find instructions on how to build a semi-auto receiver (pictured part) from cut up pieces.

Here are links:

Receiver front halves here:

this list is not complete, just all i can think of.

Hi,

Thank you very much for the replies.

How many models / types are available for mg42?

Because I can not see any differences between the semi-auto and full-auto mg42.

If I am not wrong, there is only available one model of mg42 isn’t it?

I am looking for the previous original mg42 part for firing blank ammo.

Actually I just want to own and HEAR the original beautiful sound of mg42 gun when it’s fired!

Sorry for all of these many questions cause I am only a beginner.

Thanks again

The actual MG42 was built by the Germans. It has been copied by others, mainly the yugos, and was converted for use by NATO.All the diferances from full auto to semi auto are on the internal mechanism-identical outside.Read through as much of the site as you can to find out more.Again, check the laws where you live about owning one in either form. ---bil

If you do not live in Canada, or America, then there is a chance you may purchase this part from here: http://www.marstar.ca/mg42m53p.htm
Part #: M42-004 or M42-081.

Phone them for the price, they are located in Canada.

The mg42 part on the following link:

http://www.ima-usa.com/index.php/cPath/ ... a30364e1a
is demilled. CMIIW, demilled means "cannot be fired".

And the mg42 part on the following link:

https://www.apexgunparts.com/product_in ... qf310secj7

is only half of the part I would like to purchase.

Can you tell me where I can get the other of this mg42 part that's not been demilled?

Thanks

Your only other option would be to buy a rear half from WISE Lite ARMS or a coldsteel rear piece. I do beleive those still have to be machined out in order to work. Either way you will have to weld them unless you buy a full BRP Gun receiver in SEMI or have a Class 3. If your over seas im sure you would'nt be able to have anything shipped internationally. Find out your laws and go from there. The IMA rear demilled pieces can be reused to fire just must be rewelded with extreme care and a good knowing of what your doing!
