I looked at several bolt mods to help prevent OOBs. IE a sleeve etc. Lots of good ideas but also ideas that require a lathe and a machinist. What about taking a stiff spring larger than the diameter of the FP spring but small enough to catch the FP collar that is cut so that the FP will impact the primer when the rollers are in the locked position but in the "unlocked" position the hammer would have to push both springs making an OOB unlikely. With my fingers it seems to work.
Heres an example I just threw together for reference. Could this work?
No, solder the nut on the pin so that the nut hits the striker unless the rollers are locked into the barrel extention.
just make sure your pins long enough to hit the primer when the bolt is locked.
"good , bad, .....I'm the man with the gun."
Its amazing anything works right around here with a bunch of
over-age juvenile delinquents running the place.
On soldering the nut, think of it this way. Solder that nut so that the firing pin will only go through the striker (wedge) far enough so that unless the striker (wedge) is in the locked position ( completely forward) position the tip of the firing pin will not reach the primer. If the striker (wedge) is completely forward only then will the firing pin be able to reach the primer. There clear as mud. Someone should draw this out..
