I thought I would post a few pictures of a luger I have in my collection. Its not in the best condition on the outside but internally it really is clean. I would not normally keep a gun in such condition but this one just appealed to me because not only was it picked up here in May 1945 at the end of the German Occupation of our Island but it is also dated 1911. Nothing special in that I guess but 2 things came to mind, firstly it was carried throughout WW.2 by a German officer but also that on the 31st of December 2011 it will be 100 years old for sure. Those 2 things combined meant that I would be hanging onto it. I fired it on Saturday just gone and it sure goes with a bang. The next best thing about it is that it only cost me £100, which even in its condition has to be a bargain. When I first saw the pistol it was covered in a very fine red rust, and with a lot of patient work it came off but obviously it had after years of being like that affected the original blueing. The holster did not come with the gun it was added once I had the gun.
Anyway, I hope you like it. If you want to see more of my collection then have a look at http://www.germanww2militaria.com
All the best,
