Havent seen this posted here before. Slow motion of a mg42 firing. Never realized how much the gun moves with each shot.

Like you said interesting how much it moves. Look at the amount of belt jump up and down.... Thats why they talked about redoing the last couple of links in the belt. That way the amount of jump in the last few rounds would not cause a stopage.

I wonder how much it moves on the original lafette.It used some of this recoil to work the fire control device.Vids of it in action with the bipod show this recoil being used to reduse the usefulness of the landsers shoulder! ---bil

This was done during the time warp episode. A friend of mine was part of the show and they used Guiettes collection. The other slo mo shots of other guns they did was pretty cool.
