Detail Stripping the MG-34 bolt

Post by vek »

I'm currently cleaning up a MG34 kit a got awhile ago, and am trying to figure out how to detail strip the head of the bolt. How do I remove the extractor and all that stuff from it, or would it be better just to leave it together and throw the whole thing into some mineral spirits?

The extractor is a pain to remove and install without the tool. Soaking would be a better choice if you don't have the extractor tool.
