mg34 receiver stud on front of receiver
mg34 receiver stud on front of receiver
Was the stud on the front of the receiver machined at the time of manufacture or was it somehow screwed in? Can it be removed and another installed?

Re: mg34 receiver stud on front of receiver
I've handled several MG34 receivers that were cut through the area where they attach into the receiver, it seems like a lot of extra metal to machine away, but they all appear to be machined, or at least they do to me...TNW welds original "studs" from receiver scraps onto their billet machined receivers.... Chris...

That is why there are so many cut receivers with this section missing! ---bil

i wish i knew how tnw correctly locates that stud on the front of the receiver! i have a 2 cut receiver that has the stud cut off but i have another trashed receiver that i could use to fix it.

Yes,it has to be timed exactly,or it will not work.I would imagine you could make a jig if you have the front with one attached. I think I would machine the pin to be longer, and machine a hole to set it in. ---bil
