TNW Ejector Question

My TNW Ejector is too short to engage the ejector plate to pop the spent brass from the bolt.
I know that an easy fix would be to get the bolt tune up kit from BRP....
Alas, I live in the Great northern wastelands of Canada...
Cross border travel of "Machine gun parts"

seems to be a bit of an impossibility right now. (As all of you know that an ejector pin is all that it takes to make a TNW MG34 to go full rock and roll...)
Anyway... I was thinking of making my own longer ejectors. What type of steel should I be using to build this part? Recommendations? Could I weld a blob of metal onto the old pin and file it down? What length should I be milling it to? Any help is appreciated!
PS: Is the feed tray of the TNW removable? It does not come off like a real MG34...

I talked to TNW, they are able to ship me the parts I need for an extra $50! Woohoo!
Marstar can be a pain to deal with. Every time I have asked them about buying parts for my Semi "Machine guns" I get told that is illegal, or against their company policy to sell parts kits!!! I bought a Semi StG44 from them, tried to get extra mags, which they stock, and was told that it "was illegal" for them to sell me more!
I know they are trying to cover their butts from our Gestapo Police force, but damn it's annoying....
Hopefully the new ejectors from TNW will be long enough... Anyone have the proper OAL that the TNW is supposed to be??

you Canadians crack me up. You mean to tell me that Marstar sells the TNW semi MG34 but won't sell any parts to keep them running? What logic is that?
Well at least TNW will get you the parts. Does it cost you $50. regardless of what parts you get? what I'm getting at is then it would be smart to stock up on semi sears, bolt rollers, ejector plates, bolt roller retaining rings.....
In my case, it was much cheaper to buy a whole spare parts kit when they where cheap back in the day.

but at any rate, the semi sears and sear rings do go bad.

Logic???
What is this "logic" you talk about???

I am purchasing about $600 worth of spare parts! I don't want to be left in the cold again! It should cost about $50 for the import permits... could be more though...
I LOVE having spare parts around. I bought a G43 stock, even though my duv44 has a perfect original stock... Don't wanna be left hanging when I happen to bump into that barreled action!

Just thought I would provide an update.
Received the new parts from TNW, installed the new longer ejector rod, and my TNW MG34 runs like a hot damn now!!!!!
Loaded up a couple belts and blasted gophers with it! What a fun toy!
Looking forward to the November Deer hunt!
