All,
I am in need of a few 1942 or undated bpr/CRA WaA11 parts for a MG42 I just bought. I am in need of a bakelite version of the butstock and a bipod.
I have been collecting for years and have an extensive collection of MG34, MP44, MP40, MP38/42, G43 parts available for trade. Or cash.
thanks
greg

before..few picutres of 1st model MG42

the interesting things with the early 1942 MG42 are:
1- the slab charging handle from 1942 to mid 43

2-the bipod pin for the early bipod 1942 to mid 43

3-the early bipod

4-the bakelit buttstock from 1942 to feb 43

5-early buffer (2mm bigger diameter than the new one. (from 42 to nov 42)
6- 1st model main spring

7- the 1st model rear sight (milled) from 1942 to mid 43

8- the 1st model front sight from 1942 to mid 43

9- the 1st model feed tray
on the top

10- the early flash hidder (on the right)

11-the 1st model barrel(from 42 to nov 42)

12-the first model barrel bushing (feets only on the 1st model barrel)
I'm still looking for the first model barrel bushing....

Fab--Fab-ulous!
Thanks for all this. You keep adding to the info here,it is much appreciated. Most of us are doing well if we can recognise German versus Yugo parts, you have dug into another dimention of research. It is interesting to see the changes that were made, either to make the gun easier to use, like the cocking handle,or to make it easier to produce. Thanks again! ---bil

Thanks for the quick reply. I thought I would take a chance in asking here on this forum as I percieved that many of the early guns would have been "used up" in the WW2 and collectors would have some parts.
My CRA is a 51XX block no letter coded, so a very early gun, but with some Waffenmeister wartime upgrades i.e. Charging handle/ratchet and bipod. I will attach some photos ASAP.
