Lafette Mounts

Post by rgus48 »

I am looking at picking up a Lafette mount. I have found two.
the first is an immediate post war built exactally as the WW2 ones were with the AA mount @ twice the money
the second it the standared lafette you see now with the different indirect fire system and no AA mount for 1/2 the money.
My question is this, Will the earlier mount with the two pads and the AA adapter conting to increase in value even though it is has no germans markings and is apperarntly not a WW2 german mount ?
For the money which is the best purchase in the long run?

Thanks

The WW2 style Yugo mount will be worth more then the other one. They were selling for $700-$1000. Sarco flooded the market like 2-3 years ago and they went down to $500. They have dried up. The German Mg3 mounts have been the same price for a while.
