Lafette straps

Somebody over there must be sitting on a pile of carry straps or used them for something else. Has anyone worked on getting them reproduced? It seems like none of the Yugo units are coming with them.

I checked out some of these in person at a show, the hardware used on them is crap.

The ones I saw were nice. Was it the same seller?

Yes, it was the same seller. They were at the GAP last year, All the straps were sealed in plastic bags so I had them open one. The hardware was real cheezy and the hook would not stay closed. But the leather work was nice.

ATF will be at the Show of Shows next week in Louisville if you will be attending that show.

If you want an original set try contacting Bergflak.

Maybe the restocked ones will have better hardware. When I questioned the quility of the hardware to the sales guy at the show, he told me that they had it made special by some company in California. It looked more like it was made in China.

Interesting.
I looked at the pics on the site real good because.......
I ordered a 42 sling from RTG and the poor quality of the hardware made me send it back. The grip side unit had the hole drilled offset so they "swirled" the drill so the pin could go thru. The pin barely made it more than half way thru and it wasn't re-plated so it was already rusting. The front clip was a modern carabiner type hook. The leather work and stitching was excellent.

Is Bergflak on this board?
Is anybody going to the SOS show?

I'll be at the SOS show. I'm about halfway back on the right wall. I'll have my red "German Manuals in English" sign on the wall.
