TC-do you mean the entire unit-the device with the firing tables riveted on? ---bil

yes, the device you bought from Reider.

I think there are two pins (rivets) with washers riveted on that need to be removed....I
just wonder if I remove these, if I can get them installed back together again. Just wondering if anyone else has done this?

I spoke with Ryan. He said I have to knock the washers off of the pins. No way around it, and have to restake them back on when it goes together. Good new, Ryan has replacements in a box somewhere if they are damaged. Ryan is all moved to Montana now, but won't be set up for a few more weeks.

Hmmm, I wonder what else Ryan has made????? ;)

Bil, you may want to get some of those pins and washers for the one you got.

That upper tripod and aiming and searching device are going to take along time. Lots of parts. :read:

TC -I have 2 of them-one to take apart, and one to use when I can't figure it out! :? Actually,I have taken apart one of the search-fire units and cleaned it,and also got it together! It actually still functions .I wasn't home,so I couldn't remember how I had taken it apart. The washers are still good, but I may get some just in case. ---bil
